The grandmother of Taunya Thomas, Adele Thomas, passed away.

Services will be held Friday, August 7 at Parklawn Assembly of God, 3725 N. Sherman Blvd.

Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. and services start at 11 a.m.

Israel “Toodee” Bond

Deborah Butler-Goudy, of DSD, recently lost her ten month old grandson, Israel “Toodee” Bond.

A memorial service will be held this Saturday, April 4th, at 2 p.m., at New Restoration Christian Church, 11428 W. Mill Rd.

A celebration of life party will be at C G Robinson Terrace, 2020 N. 15th St., 3rd floor lounge, following the service.

The family is requesting that no black be worn, please.  Bright, happy colors are in season.

RIP, Carolyn Claas

Carolyn Claas, a social worker at BHD, passed away this past weekend.  Our deepest sympathies go out to her family.  The following is the death notice from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel:

Claas, Carolyn Jean (Nee Krug) Of Hartland Feb. 1, 2009, age 36 years. Loving daughter of Rev. Ronald (Barbara) Krug. Dear sister of Alan (Lisa) Krug. Granddaughter of Caroline Wendt. Niece to Duane (Pam) Krug. Further survived by her cousins Kristina Krug, Robert Krug, David Krug. She was beloved Aunt C.C. to Alyssa, Nathanael, and Eva Krug. Beloved Godmother of Ali Finken, Haley Schlicht, Alyssa Krug. Special friend to Ann, Bedull and Val. Formerly married to David Claas. Lovingly missed by Misty. She was employed in the Behavioral Health Division in Milwaukee County Mental Health Center. She was a Psychiatric Social Worker. Former member of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra in the early 1990’s. Friends may visit on Sunday from 4:00PM – 7:00PM at St. Paul’s Ev. It’s A Boy!

Sharon Lucas, of the Disability Services Division, gave birth to her son:

Derius Cameron

August 4th at 9:40 a.m.

Derius weighed seven pounds and ten ounces.

Congratulations to Sharon and we wish them both the best!
